Amazon Fire TV Cube 4K HDR streaming media player with Alexa launched

Leading e-commerce major Amazon has launched its Fire TV Cube after the Fire TV Stick. This is a bigger TV streaming device which plugs into HD TV and allows users to watch TV shows, movies, play games and use apps. It also comes enabled with Alexa, Amazon’s AI-powered digital assistant.

The Amazon Fire TV Cube is powered by a quad-core processor and comes with Ethernet port and Wi-Fi support. The company has also bundled a voice remote which enables users to search Amazon Video content with the help of voice commands.

The device comes with 4K Ultra HD support with HDR10 and Dolby Audio support. The device consists of 8 microphones and also supports wide range of devices via infrared, cloud, HDMI and more.

In an official statement the company said, “Advanced beamforming technology combines the signals from the individual microphones to suppress noise, reverberation, content currently playing, and even competing speech to make sure Alexa clearly hears your request, even next to your TV.”

The company has priced the Amazon Fire TV Cube at $119.99 and is up for pre-order on the website. The company will start shipping the device from June 21. As part of the introductory offer the Amazon Prime members can pre-order the Fire TV Cube on June 7 and June 8 for a special price of $89.99.

Earlier this week, Amazon was offering cashback of Rs 250 to all its customers. The company rolled out the offer as part of its fifth anniversary in the country. On the occasion, the company’s founder and CEO Jeff Bezos has also shared a letter on the Amazon India’s website.
