NEW DELHI: Indian e-commerce giant Flipkart has announced that Google’s latest flagship smartphones Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will be exclusively available online on the website.
Google Pixel 2 comes with a starting price tag of Rs 61,000, while the Pixel 2 XL costs Rs 73,000 for the 64GB version. Pre-orders for both the smartphones will begin from October 26 mid-night and deliveries will begin from November 1.
As part of the pre-order, Flipkart is also giving some offers to the buyers. The customers will get a free Sennheiser headset worth Rs 11,990 with the smartphones. There will also be a cashback of Rs 8,000 on HDFC Bank credit cards. There will be guaranteed 50% buyback when the users will upgrade their Pixel and exchange offer of Rs 5,000. There will also be a no cost EMI option starting Rs 3,389 per month.
The HTC-made Google Pixel 2 features a 5-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) AMOLED 2.5D display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Running the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, the Pixel 2 supports 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and comes in two variants based on inbuilt storage versions – 64GB and 128GB. It has a 12.2MP rear camera and is backed by a 2700mAH battery.
On the other hand, the LG-made Google Pixel 2 XL shares similar set of specifications as the Pixel 2 but with a slight change. It has a 6-inch QHD+ (2880×1440 pixels) P-OLED display along with 18:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 538ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 coating. The device is backed by a 3520mAh battery, which is said to run for up to 7 hours in 15 minutes of charging. The smartphone will be made available in Just Black and Black and White colour variants.
