Huawei brand Honor on Thursday launched the Honor 9 Lite in China. The smartphone sports a 5.65-inch 18:9 IPS display, dual cameras on both the front and rear, as well as Android 8.0 Oreo based EMUI 8.0, as its main highlights. It will go on sale in China on December 26. The smartphone will reportedly go on sale in 14 countries soon after, including India, Russia, and the UK. In comparison, the Honor 9 bears a 16:9 display and dual rear cameras, but has a more powerful processor.

Honor 9 Lite price starts at CNY 1,119 (roughly Rs. 11,700) for the 3GB RAM, 32GB storage variant, with the 4GB RAM, 32GB storage variant priced at CNY 1,499 (roughly Rs. 15,600) and the 4GB RAM, 64GB storage variant priced at CNY 1,799 (roughly Rs. 17,500). As we mentioned, the smartphone will go on sale in China on December 26 (at 10:08am CST), and registrations for the first sale will open on Friday.
According to GizmoChina, Huawei announced that the Honor 9 Lite will go on sale in 14 other countries soon after, including India, Russia, and the UK.
Honor 9 Lite specifications
The dual-SIM (Nano) Honor 9 Lite runs EMUI 8.0, based on Android 8.0 Oreo. It bears a 5.65-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) IPS display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and pixel density of 428ppi. It is powered by a Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC (four cores clocked at 2.36GHz, and four cores clocked at 1.7GHz) coupled with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM.
