NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi’s phablet Mi Max 2 has received a permanent price cut in India. Launched at 64GB version at Rs 16,999 and the 32GB variant at Rs 14,999 and now both the versions have got a price cut of Rs 1,000.
The 64GB variant of Mi Max 2 will now be available at Rs 15,999 on Mi.com, Amazon and Flipkart, while the 32GB version will cost Rs 13,999 and will be available on Mi.com and Amazon.
The smartphone is successor to the company’s Mi Max phone launched last year in May. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 comes with a curved edge design and is sleeker as compared to its predecessor.
The Mi Max 2 features a huge 6.44-inch full HD display with 1080×1920 pixel resolution. The display is protected with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The device runs Android 7.0 Nougat operating system based on the company’s own MIUI.
The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with a clock speed of 2GHz paired with 3GB/4GB of RAM. It offers 32GB/64GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB by adding a microSD card. Measuring 174.1×88.7×7.6mm, the dual-SIM phablet sports a 12MP rear camera with Sony IMX386 sensor and dual-LED flash. The front houses a 5MP camera for selfies and video calling.
