There’s a lot of new stuff unveiled at CES and Huami also took to the stage to unveil its new lineup of smartwatches and smart earbuds. Amazfit has been teasing it for a while and it’s finally unveiled its first truly wireless earbuds at the event, called the Amazfit Powerbuds. The Bip S was also unveiled alongside the T-Rex smartwatch while Amazfit also launched its ZenBuds that help with sleep monitoring. The company even launched a smart Treadmill complete with a big 43-inch screen and speakers.
Chances are that some of these Amazfit products might make it to the Indian shores and let’s talk about the ones that have a high chance of making it to India. The Amazfit Bip has been one of the highest-selling smartwatches and Amazfit has now unveiled the Bip S at the CES. The Bip S is an upgrade to the Bip and Bip Lite with certain improvements in a couple of areas. Amazfit now claims that the Bip S can offer up to 40 days of battery life on a single charge. The Bip S also gets a Huami-PAI that gives you a score based on the fitness details including the heart rate, exercise and other health-related activities.
Rest of the Bip S is similar to the Bip and Bip Lite. You still get a colour display with in-built GPS tracking as well as water resistance of up to 5ATM. There are two new colours apart from regular black and blue colours that include gold and white variant.
For the adventurous lot, Amazfit also has a rough-n-tough smartwatch with a catchy name – T-Rex. The T-Rex is meant to withstand harsh outdoor conditions and is rated by United States Military standard certifications. It looks the GTR smartwatch and still gets a 1.3-inch AMOLED display with all of the smart features built-in such as GPS and GLONASS tracking, optical heart rate sensor and more. The T-Rex promises 20 days of battery life on a single charge and it’s rated to be water-resistant as well.
Amazfit also came up with its first wireless earbuds and there are two interesting models. The first one is called the PowerBuds and it is a truly wireless set of earbuds similar to the AirPods. The PowerBuds feature a Clip-to-Go design and also feature removable magnetic sport ear hooks. The buds automatically play or pause when you take on or off the earbuds. They also come with touch-based controls. The PowerBuds also features heart rate monitoring with real-time updates and alerts through voice notifications. There’s a Thru Mode to let ambient sounds in as well.
Lastly, Amazfit also launched the ZenBuds that essentially help with sleeping. The ZenBuds cancel external noise for sound sleep and it contains a couple of sensors to track health data. They also play soothing sounds to help with sleep. The buds have a standby time of 12 hours with the music playing. However, these are not meant to listen to music.
